Downloaded but will not run without reformatting existing drives which may render them useless on previous version of SoftRAID. Why is that incompatibility present on this beta version. Current software also doesn't work in MacOS Golden Gate, which seems to be the reason. So, my question about backwards compatibility and migration compatibility between the two systems.
My current configuration is described here. What are my options in this transition?
Macbook Pro 16" Retina XDR, 2024 M4 Pro internal 2TB storage, 36GB RAM, MacOS 26.5.2, running v8.0 SoftRAID software; Local RAID drives/enclosures: 4M2 OWC Enclosure with 6TB SSD NMe, RAID4 Storage; two external OWC T3 enclosures (3TB online storage) populated with JBOD 6x500GB, EVO SSD, RAID0 array disks/partitions; Local Backup: 2TB.

Be patient. There is a complication why this is the case, it will go back to "normal" when Golden Gate hits public beta. We have to be careful as we added new RAID levels, and it requires the new driver, and older drivers are incompatible for now.

I'm not quite sure I understand the extended delays here, two weeks delay a month ago with no further updates, and citing new RAID formats as the issue. I have to assume you considered releasing an update for Golden Gate for users that are already stranded by the inability to now verify their current installations before getting stymied by perfecting additional RAID formats which none of us are currently using.

It is a complicated issue, and we cannot yet, but we are getting close to a Golden Gate public beta.
Betas should not have permanent data, so hopefully you can occasionally boot into Tahoe and confirm all is OK. Your volume(s) will work fine, ciurrently.
When we can release a beta that protects the data of existing beta testers, then we will do a public beta for Golden Gate.
I cannot go into details on the mechanics of all this. But it is necessary.

Sorry to hear. In that case, do not have facilities to use as trial of your Beta program, unless OWC wishes to so supply an enclosure. 🤣
I do have one or two old SSD drives @500GB recently removed from service that could be used, however, if that is of interest to you guys.

@softraid-support Thanks for the update. Just checking in to see if there's any new ETA on the RAID 6 beta for Golden Gate. Looking forward to trying it as soon as it's available.

We should have a public beta for SoftRAID 9 by end of this week.
