Hello SoftRAID Community,
I'm seeking assistance with an issue concerning my RAID 5 array managed by SoftRAID. My setup includes four 8TB drives configured in RAID 5. Recently, one of the drives began failing, prompting me to validate the array, which completed without errors. I have a replacement drive arriving soon.
However, last night, the RAID volume disappeared from the "My PC" section. SoftRAID still recognizes all four drives, and Disk Manager displays the RAID array as 22TB, though it lacked a drive letter. After assigning a drive letter, the volume appeared with 0 space, prompting a format request upon access, which I declined. SoftRAID now indicates the array as "21.8 TB - RAID 5 - (unknown format)."
Could the failing drive be causing this issue, despite RAID 5's tolerance for a single drive failure? Additionally, I would appreciate guidance on replacing the faulty drive upon its arrival, as the available tutorial doesn't align with my SoftRAID version.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Hamza Ali

Also, Run the Windows Diagnostic program with the drives connected. You can download it here:
