I downloaded and installed softraid 8 free trial.
When I add drives and try to build a raid, it has tells me I must upgrade to premium.
So, how can I evaluate anything?
I wish to confirm suitability, raid read/write performance etc.

Try "uninstall" SoftRAID, restart and start again.

It says SoftRaid Standard is active and requires upgrade to premium.

This is your first time running SoftRAID on this computer?

I had "purchased" and installed softraid standard an hour earlier thinking it was the same thing. I uninstalled it and reinstalled the downloaded trial. I have never successfully ran the trial or the premium on this computer.

@mcham Try this:
"uninstall SoftRAID" utilities menu
Launch SoftRAID and see if you are in Premium trial mode now. Do not enter your license until you are set up.

I just did the following:
1. Uninstalled softraid
2. Reinstalled softraid
3. If I check "about" is says license is "softraid standard"
FYI- this is a win11 install
Your question causes me to ask - Was i supposed to receive a license key for "premium 30 day trial" ? If so, I did not receive one.

Trial mode does not have a license key. Windows may be more "strict" than the Mac Side. Let me see if there is something I can do.
