Does disabling secure boot increase my drive speed?

Purchased the much faster OWC SSD 4TB PCIe card for my MacPro to be used as my working project drive while the Mac's stock SSD handles MacOS. I'm getting a SoftRAID error saying "Limited SoftRAID Driver Running" and it's asking me to disable Secure Boot. That doesn't seem very smart. Any feedback? Thanks in advance!
