After a few issues I decided to upgrade my enclosure from Thunderbolt 2 to Th 3. I moved my disk to the new enclosure :4 x 8 To Seagate Ironwolf 7200 To. I plugged the brandnew 2m Thunderbot 3 OWC cable and Softraid did its job well, it mounted the disk well.

But the issue it's the speed, the writing disk speed is slower now, from 300 mb/s to 140 mb/s.

Someone has a solution to increase this speed?

Thanks

Syl

Is this also a new computer? Do you have Secure Boot disabled?

Is all you did move the disks from one enclosure to another?

Do you still have the old enclosure? If you move the disks back, it is faster?

Hi

"Is this also a new computer? Do you have Secure Boot disabled?"

Yes it's a Macbook Pro 16" 2020, qnd yes I am running the Softraid 5.8.4 qnd for that I disabled the Secure boot.

"Is all you did move the disks from one enclosure to another?"

Yes nothing more. I kept the same disk supports (from the old enclosure)

"Do you still have the old enclosure? If you move the disks back, it is faster?"

Yes I do, I didn't move the disks back yet, but the test I did before shows the old enclosure faster than the new one; 300 mb/s vs 160 mb/s

Try it, and lets see. Also, is this a 4 bay, 6 bay or 8 bay enclosure?

Weird!

I don't have an explanation. A 6 bay maybe. But even if you were using a Apple Thunderbolt 3/2 adapter, there would not be a difference. Your cable has a "3" on it, correct?
