Hi,
I'm attempting to create a three RAID5 volumes on a set of 4, 3TB drives in a Thunderbay enclosure. After initiating the process, nothing seemed to be happening, so I re-selected the target disks, and tried again to create a 3TB RAID 5 volume. Attempting to quit SoftRAID also failed, but then I noticed that the I/O request count on one of the drives is steadily clicking up. Is this normal? Is there a way to find out what the application is doing (nothing in the console log, no)?
Any insight appreciated! Thanks,

SoftRAID v 5.1/Driver v5.1
If creating a volume takes more than about a minute, it is likely that the OS X tool SoftRAID calls to create the file system has hung.
Force quit SoftRAID, restart and try again. Creating the volume should be successful on the second attempt.
Force-quitting and restarting did (most of) the trick. Had to re-initialize one of the disks, which had a bad partition map, presumably from the failed first attempt(s). Thanks for the fast response!
