Got a quick question about a hypothetical RAID 4 setup.
After reading the SoftRAID site about RAID 4 being preferable for SSDs ( https://srforums.wpengine.com/pages/features/raid_levels.html#raid4), I'm wondering whether there would be any performance penalty if the data disks were SSDs, but the parity disk is a regular hard drive?

Writes would be significantly slower, but reads would be like an SSD stripe.
