SoftRAID preference: RAID Disk Timeout - 15 seconds.

Are there pros/cons to increasing that setting to 1/2 mins?

If a disk is missing at startup, or when you connect an enclosure, the timeout determines how long SoftRAID will wait before "failing over".

So if you set it at two minutes, then connect one disk from a mirror, it will be two minutes before the volume mounts.

Depending on your needs, this pause can help slow disks spin up, or a long delay means if a mirror disk failed, you need to wait up to two minutes for your volume to mount.

Note: there is no delay once all disks appear, regardless of this setting.
