I have a ThunderBay 4 4x4TB and would like Slot A/B to be a mirror pair and Slot C/D to be a mirror pair in a RAID 1+0.

I choose A and C as my primaries, but SoftRAID always wants to make B/C a pair and A/D a pair. How can I make it do what I want?

If you are starting clean, then it is simple.

Select the 4 disks for your RAID 1+0.
In the follow up doalog box, SoftRAID selects two disks by default, but you can change them by clicking on different disks. "Blink Disk Light" is running, so you can tell which two are selected.

See if that works for you.
