I'm on a 2017 iMac running 13.7 and I cannot for the life of me figure out installing SoftRAID.
I had iStatMenus, NordVPN and AppCleaner. Deleted all of those programs and then restarted. I have checked to make sure SoftRAID has full disk access in the security settings.
Any ideas?
What if you run this line in the terminal.app?
sudo softraidtool uninstall
(enter your password)
restart and can you launch SoftRAID?
I get a command not found message
SoftRAID was never installed then. (at least the tool)
This was a first time running of the app?
Are you logged in as an admin?
you may need to reset MacOS, by "reinstalling". It will not wipe any data.
Startup in recovery mode (commanr r in intel, power on ARM)
Select settings, then "reinstall MacOS
let it install.
All your files/settings will be preserved.
Does that enable SoftRAID to launch?
If not you may have some computer management (IT) tools installed?
Took me a while to do this but just followed your directions.
Did the restart in recovery mode and reinstalled MacOS.
Then, started up and tried to install SoftRaid. Still got the same error. Screenshot attached.
Any other ideas?
When you installed the new system, did you migrate your data? This indicates that you did.
@softraid-support I didn't migrate any data.
The previous instructions (earlier in this thread) were the following:

I followed these instructions but am still getting the problem. What should I try next?
Where do you live? I have an idea for a longer fix.
there is something in your system settings causing this, we would like to fix it, as otherwise a clean install will be required.
I live in Washington, D.C.
It's a 2017 iMac 5K. Full details in the first post of this thread.
