Hi all,

Any idea what happened? The error message "The Disk you attached was not readable for the computer"

I am using a intel-based iMac with MacOS 12.3.1, SoftRaid 6.2.1, OWC ThunderBay 8 8-Bay Thunderbolt 3 but installed 4 HDD (16T each)

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Hi @TomTang2022

Can You share how You resolved this issue? I am having the same problem, even though I've been using this drive for a week on the same mac. Customer Support is closed over the weekend but I am supposed to work the weekend.

Any help would be much appreciated!

@saturdaythe13th

Did you try reinstall the SoftRAID driver, (do not immediately restart) and go to System Preferences / Security to "Allow" OWC as an identified developer.

Also, you should navigate to System Preferences/Security/Privacy/Full Disk Access and enable full disk access for SoftRAID.

@softraid-support That did it!! Thank You for the help. Does this mean that I will need to pay for SoftRAID in order to use this hard drive after my trial? Or was this just a bug?

Thank You!

@saturdaythe13th

Do you have a version 6 license? (20 digits)

If you do, all is fine, if you do not, then you need a license yes.
