Hi.
I migrated from M1 MacMini to Mac Studio and SR no longer works (disks don't mount and app open and closes immediately). I decided to delete ALL files related to the app in order to reinstall but the files in picture aren't deletable. I disabled SIP and tried via SAFE mode but... no way.
Any help is appreciated.
Simon
You did not disable SIP, did you? This is what you need to do (unless you misunderstood what you did)
https://support.apple.com/en-lk/guide/mac-help/mchl768f7291/mac
Select reduced security and enable this:
Select the “Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers” checkbox to allow installation of software that uses legacy kernel extensions.
Now you need to reinstall the SoftRAID driver.
After enabling third party extensions, reinstall the SoftRAID driver, (do not immediately restart) and go to System Preferences / Security to "Allow" OWC as an identified developer.
Also, you should navigate to System Preferences/Security/Privacy/Full Disk Access and enable full disk access for SoftRAID.
Do you get "a part of the SoftRAID Monitor failed" error when you launch SoftRAID?
Tnx for helping.
Regardless SIP enabled or not the SR app launches an closes immediately. I have no way to do anything. All SR's files have been deleted except for the one in picture but is not loaded.
I' l create a new user and install SR (hoping will work for all) and see what hapoens. The purpose is to check if the user from the MacMini is the cause of this issue.
I will send instructions off line, as they are long. The reason for the SIP query is not whether it is currently enabled/disabled, but our Apple contact said that is the actual trigger for this issue. the extended attributes settings for drivers gets mucked when SIP is enabled/disabled apparently.
