1. need to remove the missing drive for now

2. combine the remaining separated volume

What is your workflow when this is happening?

Anything you can describe? we will create a new recovery file, but this should in no way be happening twice.

@softraid-support can't exactly put my finger on it. But it happens after a reboot of the computer. My theory is that since these are now all external drives, the thunderbolt connections don't come online at the same time & I'm constantly seeing the raid volumes being rebuilt on bootups.

For the future, in SoftRAID Preferences, set the RAID time out to 1 minute.

Power on your enclosure(s). Do the disks spin up one at at a time (you can tell from the access lights in front)?
Or all at once?

that will give some insight here...

Since I don't see this anywhere else (we do on very rare occasion), I am suspecting something about your enclosures.
