Yes Use the "Uninstall SoftRAID" from utilities menu. Then you can run 6.0.1 and it will work. You will need to reenter your serial number.
Its taken me a while to understand this issue. I do have a fix that works. Its simple now that I have it nailed.
Run the 6.0.1 b53 beta.
From the Utilities menu, "uninstall SoftRAID'
Now run 6.0.1, after restart.
install the driver. it should be fine from this point forward.
If you need a new link to the beta or app, here they are:
here is the link to the beta:
http://www.softraid.com/sr_beta
SoftRAID 6: https://softraid.com/sr
- okay, so I "Uninstalled Softraid" B53 from the Softraid Utilities menu
- It said "uninstalling driver" and it requested to "restart" computer. I did
- Then I installed and ran Softraid 6.0, it requested to install driver, and also allow OWC in "security and privacy" - I did.
- Then it requested to restart, which i did.
But it didn't work again. Same problem (as attached). Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Then I tried whole whole process again while not restarting and running another test.
I also tried the process again while running back and forth both versions (b53 and 6.0.1).
Let me know what I'm missing.
Also, can I call you and it might go faster, just let me know.
I thought I knew how to clear this for 100%. The install routine with b53 has worked for everyone else as far as I know.
Lets do this
Attach a SoftRAID tech Support file.
post the results of this command in terminal:
sudo kextstat -b com.softraid.driver.SoftRAID
and then this command:
kextload -v /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext
