Maybe nothing for "'gear heads", but SoftRAID brings ease of use, a clean GUI and makes RAID easy to use and understand. Plus it has some unique features, like our Fast RAID Rebuild technology.
But we have no plans to bring it to Linux. Sorry!
I'm interested in dual-booting my Mac Pro (with a 6 disk internal SoftRAID 5) into Linux. Within Linux, would the data on my SoftRAID volumes be entirely inaccessible?
Yes it would, as we do not have a Linux driver and I do not know of any project to mount SoftRAID volumes.
