Hello,
Since this week, there's something wrong with my mac(imac2017 with10.13.3):
Every time I mount my raid volumes (Akitio quadX 4-bay with raid5),Mac would get stuck in about 15seconds , then it reboot automatically again and again, until I unplug the raid volumes.
ps: I haven’t do any upgrade either macOS or soft raid, and my softraid version is 5.6.7.

What’s interesting is that I have two of the same Akitio quadX enclosure with same disks and 4x raid5. One have this problem, but the other does not.

At first time, I thought there’s something wrong with the onclosure. I removed all the disks from the enclosure, and pluged one single new disk into it , and It can mount. I think it’s not the problem of the enclosure, maybe :) .And it’s nothing wrong with the cable too.

Waiting for your answer,thank you!

I do not think I can diagnose this without a SoftRAID support file. Send a support file to support at softraid, and we can take a look at this.

If you are staying with 10.13, you really must update to 10.13.6.
You also need to be running SoftRAID 5.8.2. It is not a good idea to use older versions of SoftRAID, and Apple added 3 updates to the OS, and several security updates which you are missing. I do not know of any reason not to use the latest version of 10.13.
(with 5.8.2, you need to make sure you allow Other World Computing as an Identified Developer in System Preferences/Security.)
