Hi,

after I upgraded to Monterey, no version of SoftRAID will start. Even the very latest one does not start. How can I remove an old version without leaving any remains?

The actual version 6.2.1 says (translated with DeepL):

»SoftRAID error
An internal part of the SoftRAID Monitor is not working properly. Please exit the SoftRAID program and call it again. call it again.«

Therefore, I hope that a manual removal will fix the problems.

In the past, did you ever temporarily disable SIP on this machine? (System Integrity Protection)

Yes, I did.

But now I was able to solve this problem: I deleted /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext and startet SoftRAID again. Now it’s running. :-)

You should include instructions in the user manual on how to manually uninstall SoftRAID. Sometimes you just need that.

@uhlhorn

That generally does not work, but I am glad it did in your case. Glad you are working now!
