Why does the OWC Thunderbay connect via Thunderbolt to MacStudio Monterey 12.4 when you go to About This Mac/Storage not show up?

Drobos, and Pegasus R32 all show up but no Thunderbay even though it is mounted and on the desktop.

Second Question not sure yet if it's but I'm copying 7TB from the OWC Back to a D8 Drobo (not the fastest but still should give 180MB/s write

but when I copy from OWC I get something like 1.8MB/s transfer speed. So 7 TB take days

The first is a macOS bug.

The second indicates a problem.

You are copying from teh thunderbay to another device (Drobo?)

You should get plenty fast performance. Either there is a hardware problem, or there is some issue with the file system on the external.

If you use Carbon Copy Cloner to copy, is it still that slow?

Hello,

it's strange that most OS bugs only effect OWC raid's because again everything else shows up Dobos, Promis Pegasus NVME's.

SoftRAID is the only disk driver for macOS. And Apple is slow to fix driver/kernel bugs. So we sit with the most of them.
