I have a new Express 4M2 with three 2TB Samsung EVO Plus SSDs inside. Trying to do a RAID 5. Everything seems good until make the volume; it says "Unable to create file system." The volume won't mount. When I hit "validate" on it nothing seems to be happening after I enter my system password.

Ideas?

If you are getting that message, probably you need to enable full disk access with SoftRAID.

Open System Preferenes/Security/Privacy. Scroll down to full disk access. "Drag and drop" the SoftRAID application into that window.

that will fix this.

Thanks. I did that, restarted, and still get the same error.

Post a SoftRAID Tech support file and I can take a look.

Here you go.

I chatted with OWC tech support and they suggested disabling my T2 chip, of which this machine has none.

I also noticed after I uninstalled and reinstalled SoftRAID that I got a popup saying the installation of the driver failed. But then when I restart the application it says driver v5.8.4 in the corner.

The SoftRAID driver is not loading. Walk through these steps: https://srforums.wpengine.com/pages/support/5.8_Volumes_Not_Mounting.pdf

See if that fixes this.
