Hello,

I'm trying to setup a Raid 1+0 with 4 x 4tb in two separate enclosures. (Gtech 8tb thunderbolt drives)

I followed all the steps but after SoftRaid finished the configuration I was left with five volumes on my desktop (see attachment). One being the raid 1+0 volume and the four volumes it's made of. The bizarre thing is the raid volume has a capacity of only 32mb! Has anyone had any issues like this before?

Strangely enough, when I was configuring the Raid each drive indicated only 18.6mb of free space. The drives are freshly formatted and completely empty. (see attached)

Is this a symptom of using the trial version??

Thank you all for your help!!

What you need to understand is that SoftRAID RAID volumes are not made from other volumes.
You already created volumes on the disks, then tried to create an additional RAID 1+0 volume, which is why it shows 32MB as the max available capacity. The disks are already "partitioned" with volumes.

Here is what to do:
disable safeguard on all 4 disks.
initialize all 4 disks with SoftRAID.
Now create your RAID 10 volume.

It will be OK now.
