Hi, I am using an old iMac to certify disks, Mojave 10.14, Softraid 5.8.4.

During certify Softraid stops, needs to be quit and restart Softraid then resume.

Has this bug been fixed for Mojave in Softraid 6, or 7 and will it work OK with Mojave?  [This old iMac is OK up to Mojave]

Thanks in advance...

Yes it has been fixed. I think it was a combination of SoftRAID 6 and Mojave.

Another trick is you can certify using the SoftRAIDtool in terminal. there is no feedback, but it works:

sudo softraidtool disk disk4 certify 3

(disk4 would  be the raw disk number as found in "diskutii list", the SoftRAID disk column, or Disk utility.

If you upgrade SoftRAID, this is no longer an issue however.

the trial works for 2 weeks, so you can test this, also.

Thanks for the quick answer, I have a spare SR6 license so will update - best to install v6.3 I guess...  I didn't realise that SR6 was compatible with Mojave, regards.

If your license gets you to 7.6, do that. It also supports Mojave
