Raid Volume will not mount

Currently running Softraid 5.1 with a RAID 5 array and ever since I installed the latest OSX update to 10.11.3 my RAID volume has been unmounted. When I go into SOFTRAID and attempt to mount it, it looks like its working and then just goes back to an unmounted state.

Any ideas?

Its possible the volume header or directory is damaged. Do you have Disk Warrior to try to repair the volume?

I gave it a try and got the attached error message. Is there anything else I can do?

Send us a SoftRAID support file to support@softraid.com. We will look at this. It appears your volume is not in SoftRAID format, however, as Disk Warrior would show a SoftRAID volume tile in the window, so something different is wrong here.

The same here. Created a SoftRAID 5 with 5x3TB. Works. Everything fine on 10.11.3 until reboot. Since I've done the reboot I can not mount the SoftRAID anymore.

The space available und the used space is shown correctly.

There are no errors on any of the 5 devices. Checked a few times.

If i click on "Aktivieren" (Yes, I'm German) it seems something is happening. But the volume wont mount. From the command line it's the same. No error message or something.

Sent you the SoftRAID support file an hoping my data is not lost.

Thanks for your support.

This is one of two things, a damaged volume header/file system or a problem loading the driver.

Send a SoftRAID support file to support@softraid.com and we can look at it.

DiskWarrior solved the problem.

"Directory has been successfully rebuilt and replaced."

All data is still there. Nothing is gone.

Thanks for the support.

In my case I had been using an expired trial copy for a few weeks before I purchased a license and support said that expired versions dont rebuild the index for the volume and mine was probably corrupted. I couldnt find any way to mount the volumes, including Diskwarrior, so I restored the files from an online backup.
