We had a user report this problem.
In launching SoftRAID, he received an error message:
"You can’t open the application “SoftRAID 5.5.5.app” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."
The cause of the problem was actually Avasti Anti-Virus software.
Avasti has a "feature" called File Shield. When this is disabled, then SoftRAID is able to launch normally.
