OWC Thunderblade V4
Can no longer mount the drive. Always been set up as a RAID 0 from factory.
Fortunately I have no important data on it - but it's not letting me do anything. I can't erase, create a new volume etc, and does not mount whatsoever?
Please advise? I just wanted to erase it and create an empty drive.
Ignore - fixed.
I had to manually format each individual NVMe in Disk Utility. I was then able to open SoftRAID and initialise the drives before creating the RAID array.

Couple observations:
the volume was apparently erased by Disk Utility or some MacOS process. I have seen such cases. As an EFI volume, SoftRAID cannot erase it. It can also happen if you erase a SoftRAID APFS volume as HFS.
This is also why you cannot easily get rid of the volume, it is "semi mounted" so SoftRAID could not unmount/delete the volume.
You did the correct thing using Disk Utility, one blade at a time.
Yes thats exactly what happened. Thank you for the explanation. All sorted ;o)
