It worked flawlessly on 15.4, but now it does not mount the raid5 volume anymore. It does not give an error message either.

The SoftRAID driver always is loaded with MacOS.
so this means that it is a file system/directory/APFS related issue.
Did the MacOS update go smoothly? It did not crash during upgrading?
the volume was passed to macOS for mounting, so it is mountable. What if you restart?
I suspect if you run Disk Utility "First Aid" on the volume (not the disks), it sees a problem it cannot fix?
