Folks,

    Any plans to allow APFS disks to be resized?  I have a RAID 5 that I added a bigger disk to and I should be able to expand but I would have to reformat to resize the volume.  If this is coming "soon" I am not pushed for space.  If this is "someday" feature, I may go ahead and bite the bullet and redo the volume.

John

It is in the plans for SoftRAID 6, when we start adding the support for APFS volumes. I doubt it will be in the next 30 days, but do not know.

APFS user interface development is active. I don't expect it will take more than 40-60 days additional. A lot of testing is involved, however, so I hope that goes smoothly.

@ptrickwondo

Please test the current beta, which is beta 18

We have most of APFS working in this beta, which we would love to hear feedback on.

Resize is still being worked on, however.

Thanks for the suggestion! I use the RAID as the primary storage for important video files for my home business. I hope you'll forgive me if I wait until it's out of beta. But good luck to the team working on it!
