I have a ghost volume that keeps mounting.  The disk isn't really there but it keeps mounting.  How do I get rid of it completely?

@pgreen7436

Attach a SoftRAID tech support file, then. Is this a volume mounted on the desktop? DId you use to have this volume?

Used to have it. The disk is gone. There is no mount point for it. I’ll attach a support file later.

@pgreen7436

this is not a "phantom" volume, it is an APFS container volume. SoftRAID is just displaying it.

Being that it is case sensitive, it probably is/was a time machine volume. See if you can find it in Disk Utility and delete it.

from the terminal.app in 'diskutil list'

/dev/disk9 (disk image):
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: GUID_partition_scheme +2.8 TB disk9
1: EFI ⁨EFI⁩ 209.7 MB disk9s1
2: Apple_APFS ⁨Container disk10⁩ 2.8 TB disk9s2

/dev/disk10 (synthesized):
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: APFS Container Scheme - +2.8 TB disk10
Physical Store disk9s2
1: APFS Volume ⁨Backups of your’s iMac⁩ 415.8 GB disk10s1
