I have 24TB of storage that I'm considering to subdivided into 3x 8TB volumes. How do I do that in SoftRAID? The only tutorial I could find made one volume out of the entire storage array.

Thanks.

Best is just delete the volume and create 3 new ones.

If you have not created a volume yet, just create volume 1 and give it a size, then volume 2, etc.

Very easy!

How? I haven't created any yet and there are no instructions. Do I just pick the two drives, create an 8TB volume, then pick the same two drives and create another? If so I assume that it knows not to overwrite the first one. Sounds like stupid questions, but I've encountered worse so...

Yes. It is very easy.

In the "New..." volume dialog box is a ?

There is context sensitive help if you click that.

Except that two attempts at creating an 8TB volume (from 24TB of available disk space) has failed (error=31 per the log).

"Simple" is working for me...
