Im having issues with another partition in that when MacOS boots up I'm presented with a disk cannot be unlocked error. I try to mount it but cannot. SR doesn't present any errors.

The p4v volume? Probably the directory is damaged and you need to backup restore. You can erase the volume with Disk Utility after backing up.
There are no directory repair apps yet for APFS volumes.
