My hard drive is the Mercury Elite Pro Quad 24 TB. I want it to be Raid 1, giving me 12 TB of capacity when mirrored. When I set it to Raid 1 in Softraid, the capacity max size is 6 TB. Not sure why. Any ideas?

RAID 1 is a "mirror", meaning all disks are identical. So you get the capacity of one disk, regardless of whether you have two disks in the mirror, or 4.
That is what you are seeing.
