Hi, I have an issue with a RAID 5 failing to rebuild.
I have an 8-drive RAID 5 with three drives were showing warnings that they were "predicted to fail," so I figured I would replace them one at a time, rebuilding between each replacement.
So far I'm off to a rocky start.
I removed one drive, and as expected the status of the array went to degraded.
I successfully initialized and added a new drive to the array, but when I went to rebuild, it showed me a warning that it failed to rebuild because one of the other drives was throwing read errors.
What is my next move here?

Attach a SoftRAID tech support file. I can take a look. If a drive is getting read errors, not so great.
You can start a "verify disk" in the meantime, see what happens. I am guessing it will fail the verify
