Options for testing aside from replacing disk for degraded disk in a RAID 5?

Hi, I'm wondering if I have any other options aside from replacing the disk for my degraded missing disk situation?

I have 4 x 4TB drives to make a 12 TB RAID 5 drive. One drive is degraded but still shows as one of the disks just without the format and status details.

I'm only using 2TBs so could I make an 8TB RAID 5 with my remaining 3 x 4TB drives without deleting everything first? Although I have it backed up in case deleting would help.

When I right click on the mounted drive that's no longer active within SoftRAID I see the option to Initiate, Verify, Zero Sectors, Certify - does it look like I should try one of those and/or wipe the disk and then re-add or is it clearly a lost cause?

I received a file type not allowed error when I tried to attached the Log and screenshots to this post, so here's dropbox download links instead:

Here's the SoftRAID Log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9gq17scgpafezyt/SoftRAID.log?dl=0

Screen shot of error messages: ?dl=0

Screen shot of SoftRAID app interface with disks: ?dl=0

Thank you!!!

Attach A SoftRAID Technical Support file. That gives the most information.

@tvsmashin

In the support file, the 4th disk is not even showing up. Plus it is generating write errors. That would indicate a failed drive. the drives are at 23,000 power on hours, normal life expectancy for drives, so plan on replacing all of them. They are at the age where they start failing more frequently.
