Issue

I had a temporary power loss to three external thunderbolt enclosures. Fixed the power and rebooted the Mac and enclosures. One external disk (RAID 5) is reported as out of sync and the SoftRAID volume will not mount, stuck on 'rebuilding, waiting on mount'. Disk has been verified and no errors reported.

Thanks in advance for any help!

SoftRAID and machine details

Version: 7.0.1

Array: 4 x 3 (Thunderbolt enclosures) x 2Tb NVMe in a RAID 5 config, presented as one AFPS (encrypted) volume

Running on macOS Ventura (13.0.1 (22A400)) on Apple Mac Studio M1

DriveDx reports no errors on all disks.

You are going to need to run a data recovery application, or restore from backup. there are no "repair" tools for APFS volumes. there are a couple recovery tools we have tested and have proven to be fast and effective are Disk Drill and R-Studio.

Otherwise, delete the volume, create it new and restore from backup.
