Just updated to version 7 on Ventura to see if some of my issues are being solved with it now it seems I need a new serial number.
Very frustrating purchasing hardware for several thousand dollars and being hindered by licence issues for software
I need to run to use the purchased hardware.
So how can I get a valid serial number?
When trying the Demo version, my Thunderbay drives are not recognised either
so again can't use the purchased hardware unless I get support from OWC
Ok solved the disk issues after a few more errors and following installation procedures, bit different now in Ventura, and that seems to work now how can I get a valid serial number?
We tried to add enough links for users to upgrade their licenses.Maybe we will need to improve the links/etc.
Here is the main link:
https://software.owc.com/license/
Enter your 6 license you will get your options for 7.
We want users to manage their own license activation/deactivation from their own account now. Then they can deactivate old installations for example, any hour of night or day, without having to reach anyone.
@softraid-support it would be helpful to have a link to where to get a new licence from when you start up SR 7
I am going to bring this up in engineering meeting, as you are not the only one missing the links, etc.
We have a solution under consideration, which is if we can detect a 6.x install, bring up a direct dialog box, so users cannot miss it.
@softraid-support given you are not a new company should be common practice especially if you need licensed software to run your hardware
