I was wondering if anyone else has run into the following issue and found a workaround. Although, I've contacted support and they are now aware of it, still facing that problem. After installing SoftRAID 4.0.0.64 I no longer can create Restore Points on my Win 11 Pro boot drive (or any other drive in my system - i.e. SoftRAID created or non-SoftRAID). I get the following error (JPG attached). I searched for the error code in Microsoft related articles and its something to do with Shadow File Copy Service not working properly, though I double checked it and the service is started and running fine. Parallel to that above issue I ran into another related problem with my Backup Program (Novabackup). The backup program also fails and complains that Open File Shadow Copy service cannot be communicated with. The only way that I can get the backup program work is to disable open file copy option which forces the backup program to ignore backing up any open files, which is not the right thing to do when backing up a system. I've also contacted support about that issue and they said they are aware of it and working on it and hoping the next version has a fix for it be they were not aware of the next release date. Anyways, looks like both of my issues are related to same problem that SoftRAID is causing in Windows. Anyone has any suggestion?

Any update to this? I have the exact same issue when the SoftRaided drives are connected to the system, I cannot system restore, create a recovery disk nor restore from a recovery disk.
When SoftRaided disks are detached, I can do all of the above.
I am using a Highpoint M2.NVME PCIE host card & a sata III 4 port host card both fully populated. I have tried with both and either attached. I can only perform the needed functions when neither is attached.
SoftRaid support, please advise.

Is the remaining issue the Shadow File Copy Service ?
I saw your support case and it seems that was left as "its being worked on".
Let me know, I can follow up on how long to fix, and we can get back to you. otherwise, your system is working?

Yes, the shadow copy service. I updated SoftRaid yesterday and got crashes at boot up. I removed the disks and rolled back

note: SoftRAID for windows version 8.3 does not crash, but does have a pop up error. this is being worked on and a fix will be coming, likely in the next 30-45 days.
