Before I consider taking the step in upgrading from 7.01 to 7.5, I would appreciate feedback on any issues or problems that the 7.5 upgrade has caused for external RAID 5 drives. I have always found doing SoftRAID upgrades to be never straightforward and usually troublesome.
There are really only two issues, both in the application, where it cannot launch correctly. In which case, running 7.0 is a workaround, leaving the 7.5 driver. If you are on 13.4, several MacOS kernel panics have been fixed. So it is worthwhile.
The application issues both seem to be related to third party applications, which modify the system, such as Clean my Mac, App cleaner or anti virus applications.
Thank you for your response. I am not too sure what you mean in your first sentence. I am on 13.4 but guess I'll stick with 7.0 as I can't afford to have any issues accessing my data files.
If 7.0 works, just use it. Don't install the driver (You cannot anyway), it will work fine with the 7.5 driver.
