Hi,
I bought the update from version 5 to version 6 pro yesterday, entered the key in the corresponding window and the key was accepted. After restarting my iMac this morning I see that SoftRAID is running in test version. I again entered my key and again it was accepted. Then I restarted my Mac to see what happend to the activation: test modus as before.
Thats the only issue I have. I assume this behaviour is not intended. What can I do to change this.
MacOS is Big Sur version 11.2.3
regards
Frank
Can you do this for me?
Save a tech support file. when you restart, assuming you get the same trial mode issue, save another support file.
Attach them to your thread here.
I need a before and after to understand what is happening, so we can address it. thanks!
Here is the 1st file (directly after restart - activation is gone again)
The 2nd file was generated after succesfull activation
regards
Frank
Can you do one more, I want them in the other order, working license, restart and then non working license.
thanks!
Ok, no problem

Service report after restarting iMac (licence is gone)
Is it possible that SoftRAID_Monitor.app needs "Festplattenvollzugriff"?
The SoftRAID application needs it, I do not think the Monitor does, as it is part of the driver installation.
I need to investigate this, will get back to you.
Me too – I have the very same problem. Do you want me to generate the tech support files as well?
Here are my tech support files, just in case.
Fresh install, license activated:
After restart, the license is gone. We are in Trial Mode again:
Thank you for your assistance.
Yes it need "Full Disk Access". We will take a look. We found/fixed one bug here, this may be a different one.
Are you logging in as an adminstrator?
No. I am logged in as a standard user w/o admin rights.
Ok, I did a 2nd test. Logged in as admin, entered the license key. Switched to my standard user account, started SoftRAID: Trial mode.
Restarted the system. Logged in as admin again, license is *NOT* lost. Logged out. Logged in with my standard user, started SoftRAID: Looks good - no Trial mode.
I log in as a standard user. I will give softRAID_Monitor.app full access and see what happen (will do this after work). I'll report then.
update: to give softRAID_Monitor.app full access does not change the situation, after restart the activation is gone (still logging in as standard user).
We did find a bug where non admin users, this can happen. It will be fixed in 6.0.2.
