Just some feedback on softRAID Lite, 5.5.5

Just now I accidentally verified one of the drives in a mirrored RAID, two partitions on the RAID set.

No problem, just re-initialise the removed drive, remove the secondary drives from the two partitions on the master drive then add a new secondary drive back in for the two partitions.

Well... no, can't do that - error message on trying to add a secondary drive was:

"Unable to add a disk to this volume.

You cannot add a disk to this volume because this volume is not ready to be mounted. You can only add disks to a volume if the volume has enough disks present to be mounted."

Couldn't find anyone else on the web with that error.

Yes, SoftRAID showed both partitions on the master drive were not mounted. Easy .. right click each and select 'Mount'.

Nope. Won't mount.

Solution: close SoftRAID, open Disk Utility and mount both partitions. Close DU, open SoftRAID, you can now add a secondary disk with no problem.

So SoftRAID will not (always) mount unmounted partitions, you need to use DU.

And the error message in SoftRAID is not helpful in determining the cause.

This is on El Capitan 10.11.6

We will investigate this and see if we can reproduce what you have encountered.
