Hi,

Hope someone can shed some light on this..

I have a new thunderbay 4 enclosure.
Using my own new Seagate Ironwolf 6TB drives.
Formatted in Disk Utility HFS + Journaled
Using Softraid Easy Set up (V5.6) I get this message

'Sorry unable to find suitable disks for your Raid system. If your desired disks are not currently connected, please connect them now. Afterwards click the rescan button below'

If your desired disks are connected, they are not showing as available because they already have data on them. If you still want to use these disks, please select 'show all available thunderbay disks' from popup menu'

I've tried both 'show all available disks' & 'show only empty' & no drives appear to be found. Have rebooted / did an unistall etc & still the same.

In Softraid for thunderbay the drives are appearing but when I try to certify or anything I get this message..

'One or more of the disks you have selected are in an unsupported enclosure. This version of SoftRaid only supports disks in thunderbay enclosures'

Only option that would seem to work is 'disable smart' in Softraid for thunderbay.

OS Sierra 10.12.5

Am I missing something? Suggestions welcome.
Thanks

Can you send a SoftRAID support file to support at softraid?

This is an OWC Thunderbay you have?

Create one from the SoftRAID Utilities menu, email that to us.
