please note, I will not be able to reboot between these plug/unplug of cables. Will that cause issue?
As long as the Symptoms you describe show up in the SoftRAID Application, no.
Ok, i have support files, but am unable to upload them AND support files only generate when ups usb-a to rj45 cable is not connected. When that cable is connected SoftRaid doesn't not appear to finish launching. attached screen shot is best i can do.
Try connecting the cable and entering this into terminal.app and your password when prompted:
sudo softraidtool generatereport ~/Desktop/stmodell.withrj45.sr_supt
repeat with charging cable:
sudo softraidtool generatereport ~/Desktop/stmodell.withchargingcable.sr_supt
this should work. Then you can attach all three to the forum. do not rename them, or compress them.
unable to submit .sr_supt files
any update on this as I expect this would impact all users of the forums for support.
Its strange, as it is one "some" of the users on the forum. We do not know why yet, as we have not changed anything on this end, we are still trying to figure it out.
You can in the meantime, post a link using Filetransfer.io
https://filetransfer.io
Click on select files, and select the support file on your desktop.
post the link.
filetransfer.io doesn't like those files either.
this is very odd
Interesting. If you control click on it and "compress" it, can you upload it then?
I was unable to upload compressed support files to either this forum or filetransfer.io
the forum should be given standard support files.
What if you use wetransfer? I only stopped using it as the ads started getting heavy. You can save a link.
will give it a try and may try to .tar them up as .zip and .sr_supt are unwelcome. undefined undefined undefined undefined.
undefined
so trying cpgz files on this site were permitted but then appear as 'undefined' in the comms interface here. wetransfer website fails to finish loading with just and iconed 'we' flashing in the background, and file transfer.io doesn't permit .cpgz file or doesn't like the size of the files.
For "security" we limit attachments to .txt, sr_supt and jpg. That way malware cannot be attached to the forum.
tar, zip, etc are not allowed.
But the standard support file which ends in .sr_supt, should be attachable.
I don't know what is going on with filetransfer.io or wetransfer, but both seem to still work reliably. Could this be something on your end?
