Unclear About the Update and Support Plan

So I just upgraded my Mac to macOS 13.0, then bought an upgrade from SoftRAID6 to SoftRAID7 (which was free, nice surprise) and installed it, everything is running just fine but I'm not sure about this Update and Support Plan.

The SoftRAID Monitor pull down menu says "Update + Support Plan: Active", so I get free updates? cheaper upgrades? and for how long? It doesn't seem very clear to me.

Upgrades are from a year from purchase. Since we are just implementing this, everyone will get a year of support and free upgrades from the date of upgrading. Hardware enclosures under warranty still get 3 years from date of purchase, but if you are in the last year of warranty, there is now a 12 month "SoftRAID" support plan activated.
