My Upgrade + Support Plan for Softraid 7 Pro expires on 08/21/23.
I bought an OWC Mercury Pro U.2 Dual enclosure on 12/15/22 (order P6536789). Does it extend my Upgrade + Support Plan until 12/15/23 ?
Since you upgraded to Pro, its not simple. You can use either license, but the XT license won't support the non OWc enclsoure when that support ends.
We are working to make it as easy as possible. Its always going to be a bit complex when users have multiple licenses/enclosures bought at different times, but we want to make this easy as we can.
Hello, I received a notification my Update and Support Plan will expire 8/31/23. I visited the store and purchased the first year support under order: #351534, however my softraid still shows expiring on 8/31/23 when the order details says 7/5/24. Do I need to restart or do anything for that to update to the new date? Thanks
Deactivate/Activate your license, which will force SoftRAID to "phone home", and it will fix this.

That should be enough. Let me investigate. Did you enter your license number when you renewed? Something seems to have gone "wrong".

I looked up your order and noticed it is a "free" upgrade, as part of your support plan. All upgrades are free under an active plan. This is a zero cost upgrade, so does not update the expiration date of support.
A free upgrade does not reset the clock. Your support plan still expires in August. Sorry for confusion. I notice the blurb on the invoices is not reflective of this, so it is in the process of being clarified.

At the end of a year, your application does not stop working, however you ability to get additional free upgrades stops.

Does the term "upgrade" only refer to bug fixes (i.e., updates within a major version), or does it also cross into major versions, if there happens to be one within that year?
Yes everything is included. Lets say you buy a SoftRAID support plan today. You will get the Sonoma upgrade, you will get the next major upgrade, likely in the spring, etc.
