I've been on a standard license for a few years since I had initially setup my three Thunderbay enclosures some years ago and all was well until today.
I needed to upgrade to Premium in order to create a new volume, and I am not able to get activated.
I deactivated softraid and entered the new serial number from todays purchase (order #385129), but it gives keeps giving me the message "SoftRAID License Activation Error".

An Activation error means SoftRAID cannot reach the license server.
What if you disable ethernet? You should get an option to use off line activation, using your iphone. that should work.

I disconnected my ethernet and turned off WiFI but get the same error message and no option for off line activation.

Also, my order shows in my account on the Orders page, but it does not show on the Licenses page.

Attach a SoftRAID support file here. Maybe I can see something from your system.

I used the Utilities drop down "generate report for tech support" and tried attaching the file here but got a message that said "error: filetype not allowed".

Was this ever resolved? I have the exact same problem. I’ve been using Softraid for 10 years and this is the first time anything has gone wrong. As a matter of fact I had premium for the past year and when I renewed my subscription that’s when it wouldn’t register. I kept getting a message that my subscription would expire in a few days and I had paid for the upcoming year. Yet the window kept popping up that the software would expire. It’s killing me because I love Softraid and my Thunderbay backup drives. Without the monitoring Softraid premium offers I just don’t feel safe with a drive in the array could fail. If you did get this resolved how did you achieve that?

There was a bug introduced in the store that was not updating certain license types.
Your license is now activated correctly and is good now. You might need to deactivate/activate the license in SoftRAID to show the update.

I have no option to deactivate. It is greyed out on my Softraid (see attached). When I tried to activate Softraid just now I got the usual "Softraid license activation error". Also it says I have 1 seat available. I only have one seat. This feels like I'm close to a resolution but I still can't activate.

SoftRAID 5 licenses could start with any digits. Current licenses must start with SR. We put that error up any time there is a license entered that is not starting with SR (SoftRAID 5 licenses won't work with the current version in any case, but we still have many users who were running SoftRAID, upgrade to Sequoia, and need to upgrade)
Your license starts with SR8FL, etc. If you "copy" the license, then paste it in, it should let you enter it. Let me know.

Unfortunately it didn't work. I get the same error message. Tech support via email gave me a different license than the one I used prior because everything else they tried didn't work. I copy and pasted it into the "Enter Softraid 8 serial number" window and it won't activate. Thus far I can't activate.

The problem is not the license, its the activation server. Your computer cannot reach it for whatever reason. Do you have anything like Little snitch installed?
The fact you cannot activate offline activation is mysterious. without a network, it should automatically pop up.

I don't have little snitch installed. I have Xfinity. No problem activating any other subscriptions. I feel like I'm close to a solution here. Activating off line would be great but nothing "automatically pops up". Exactly what does the pop up look like? A window?The problem is not the license, its the activation server. Its a modestly small dialog box, with the title, "Activate Serial Number Offline"
