@softraid-support
I am inclined to downgrade back to 7.0. This problem of the softraid not loading can be solved only with a manual unload of softraid monitor. My system was fine with 7.0. Until there is a solid fix can you advise on how to do the downgrade?
This doesn't help. If I don't plug in my enclosures there are not disks to connect and softraid simply doesn't load with the enclosures not connected.

I suspect the 7.0.1 driver did not get replaced in the extensions cache. If you are still having issues, attach a SoftRAID tech support file.
Not choosable.
I have downgraded to 7.0. Please advise when there is a fix for this problem in 7.01. A manual force quit of softraid monitor for the program to work consistently just isn't acceptable.
I will try to reproduce this Monday. Worst case, we may need to release a 7.0.2 shortly.
Try reinstalling the driver for 7.0, until we can investigate this.
Understand. We will investigate ASAP, and worst case, release a 7.0.2, asap.
Does 7.0 behave normally?
if so use that driver for now, until we can figure this out.
I did not see anything like this at all during beta.
I will try tomorrow.
7.0 works perfectly and the reinstall of it was easily accomplished. Thanks for your quick response on this issue.
Were you launching SoftRAID 7.0.1 from the Applications folder (or dock?), or the Monitor menu? that could be the issue. It may launch OK from the dock/Applications window.

The failure occurred when launched from the applications folder and the monitor menu. I tried both and how Softraid was started didn't seem to matter. The only solution I found when I had 7.01 installed was to use Activity Monitor and force stop the Softraid Monitor app. After doing that Softraid would load just fine (at least once) but then fail to load again. I could repeat this process of manually killing Softraid Monitor and then restarting Softraid without issues and no need to reboot. Softraid always started at least once after a full shutdown and reboot (as opposed to doing a restart from the apple menu - which I didn't try). Using force quit from the apple menu didn't work because Softraid wasn't loaded and the activity monitor isn't shown in the apple menu list of running apps. One other observation. After a shut down and manual restart Softraid could be started. If quit from its menu it might or might not restart but more often than not it would fail to start the second try. After reinstalling the 7.0 driver there has been no repeat of the problem. When the problem appeared Softraid was not shown as loaded in activity monitor but softraid monitor was "live" in activity monitor. After force stop of softraid monitor I could load watch softraid load in activity monitor.
