I've tried every setting under the sun and I cannot get my drive to stay awake. The drive will be mounted, and randomly spin down. I go to save a file or access the drive and I get the waiting spinner and hear the drives spin up one by one.
M1 Max MacBook Pro connected to CalDigit TS4. (but drive does the same directly connected to the computer)
Only thing that seems to help is the Amphetamine App with this drive alive feature but its not 100%.
Have you tried "Caffeine" or "Amphetamine"? I believe both are still free utilities.
@softraid-support as I said in the last line, Amphetamine helps but its not 100%
We have escalated this to Apple, but I don't expect any immediate fix, maybe in 14.x?
(I am hopeful they will address this issue, which we proved affects all external disks, not SoftRAID, so it is a broad problem.)
