Lost everything installing 7.0.1

Don't mean to hijack this thread but I just noticed that SoftRaid 7 is out and just confirmed via the website that my serial number is eligible for the update at no additional charge. All sounded well until I scoured through the forums and saw this thread!!!! I'm at the end of a 2-year project on a 4-year long build (first 2 years writing the book, second 2 years shooting the videos) and keep meticulous backups but before getting myself into another anxiety attack, I just have to ask (and hopefully OP sees this), did everything work out???  No data was lost in the end, I hope??

There is nothing to worry about with upgrading.
Any time you install a driver, or upgrade MacOS, however, its not a bad idea to disconnect external storage.
