What if you go to System Settings/General/Login.
Is OWC listed (and enabled) for background services?
Yes it is.
These are the normal settings. One user found these blocked, so I was hopeful. We are working on this actively.
Note that the Application error is annoying but not a risk to your data.
Want to run the 7.61 b2 debug beta?
https://we.tl/t-Fx3xs22E2d
All you need to do is launch it. I am assuming this will fail to launch. However, it creates a debug log that we can use to find the problem.
Save a SoftRAID tech support file. Here is a command to do it via terminal:
sudo softraidtool generatereport ~/Desktop/Slippery.7.6.1.b2.9.28.23.sr_supt
Ignore the errors in the terminal, as long as it generates a file on the desktop.
If, for some reason, the support file cannot be generated, go to this folder:
/Library/Application Support/SoftRAID. In there you should see a debug.log file. (If the support file is created, no need to do this) Send that to me in the interim. You need to open it in text edit, and "Make plain text" in order to attach it.
thanks

Well it's now working ok.
this driver works on my macpro 2019
I too am having an issue. I upgraded to Sonoma, was getting a bunch of kernel panics. Paid for my license upgrade, upgraded from 7.5 to 7.6.
First 7.6 said I had a drive write failure and was corrupt, but the logs said it fixed it. I'm assuming that was from one of the kernel panics. It wasn't clearing the errors from the UI, so I rebooted.
Now I get the internal failure dialog when starting SoftRAID, and my RAID array no longer shows up in SoftRAID.
Lets see if you can get me a support file via terminal. paste this into the terminal.app and send me the file, on the desktop. Ignore the terminal output, and you will need your admin password.
sudo softraidtool generatereport ~/Desktop.D.Guisinger.9/30/23.sr_supt
Thanks, so 7.6 is not, but this debug is working fine? We only changed the debug data collection. this indicates the problem is a "timing" issue.
Same question... 76 is blank, but the 7.6.1 debug is working correctly?
I am preparing to upgrade OS from 13.5.2 and had SR 7.6 but deferred the upgrade prompt a few times as it was not a good time to upgrade.
I have now run 7.6 but the driver has not automatically upgraded from 7.5, the app is reporting v7.6, even with multiple restarts / with arrays connected on startup or powered up post boot.
I assume I now need to hold off going to OS 14.0 Sonoma?
the 7.5 driver will always load with Ventura, that is not a problem.
We are investigating this issue, we have sent a debug version to several users to help us figure out the cause, so we can release a fix, probably 7.6.1. We never saw this in testing, so it has to be something in users' systems.
thanks!

I have up upgraded to Sonoma and it's working. Both show 7.6.1.b2 driver 7.6.
@softraid-support lets see if submitting this a second time does it. I got a bad data error on my first reply.
A few hours after posting my comment the other day, I heard my drives chugging away and suddenly softraid started working again. Then tonight when I woke up my computer a different disk said it was corrupted and it needed to repair. Last time it was Sonoma, 7.5, and disk4. This time it was Sonoma, 7.6, and disk7. In Battery settings, I have "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" set to Always.
