@softraid-support OK, here is a kextload.... Collecting the information does not work, it hangs.... What is going on?? I can access my drive and all files fine..... *weird*

@softraid-support Now it did. Attaching 8I just rebooted, system came up totally fine!!)
I have engineering looking at this, as it is baffling. It may take a while to get back to you.
@softraid-support no worries. Stuff is working for me. Sorry it is still messed up. Let me know if you need something from me. I am in Europe, though, so it may take a little time to reply. It's like 8:30 pm here.
@softraid-support I can also confirm 6.0.1b52 worked enough to mount drives at boot on 11.3 Beta (20E5196f).
The user interface still claim unmounted etc etc, and I have not tried manual kextload etc. But the important thing, that drives mount, is fixed.
Installed the public beta. After a restart, my raid mounts and I can access the files just fine. No uninstall and reinstall of SoftRaid was necessary for me.
I can confirm 11.3 Beta 3 has RESOLVED the problem of the drives not being able to mount. I can now access my Thunderbay drives. SoftRAID v 6.0.1 b52 and driver work as intended.
Updated OS. Deleted SoftRAID via Utilities. Fresh download and install. As expected prompts to allow access. No challenges.
Christmas Miracle! Hopefully no glitches moving forward. I will update if I experience anything.
Mac Mini M1 256gb & 8gb. FCPX. 2 Thunderbay 4's and 2 Thunderbay 4 Minis with SSD's. All Thunderbolt 2 with Thunderbolt adapter for Mini.
yes. working for me too (M1 Mac mini 1TB/16GB, Thunderbay 8 Flex, CalDigit Dock... ) SoftRAID v 6.0.1 b52
- uninstalled SoftRAID
- upgraded to 11.3 Beta 3
- reboot
- re-installed SoftRAID
- reboot
- done!
Confirmed working over here too. Mac Mini M1 1TB 16GB config. Thunderbay 4 with the same adaptor as Jordan above. And the weird USB KVM switch bug I was experiencing (unrelated to SoftRAID of course) is fixed too! Stable release can't be far away now.
Also confirmed 11.3 Public Beta 3 is working on my M1 MacBook Air and no need to re-install SoftRAID to mount!
OK, that was user error - I did not have the latest beta version installed. 20E5196f did the trick, I am up and running with both SoftRAID external disks. Great outcome.
Fred
@softraid-support. I installed the beta this afternoon, and voila! My OWC 4M2 RAID is back! Beta 52 works with M1 MacBook Pros running the Big Sur 11.3 public beta that dropped today (March 3rd).
Speculation... the kextload looks to me (and I have no clue what I am talking about) like it might use the x64 driver instead of the M1... Rosetta2??
It appears that many users are getting volumes to mount in 11.3 beta 3, while others are still unable to get their volumes to mount.
If you cannot get your volume to mount, a clean install may be required. That has been reported to work.
Feedback on this is welcome. When I get a more technical explanation about this, I will post it.
Call me a jerk, and I am seriously sorry for everyone where it is not working (I had two weeks without my files and feel you!), but this is extremely exciting. I am very curious as to what this is turning out to be :)
